Everleaf Network Leaving the U.S. Market

02/09/2012

On Thursday afternoon, Everleaf players began noticing a new terms and conditions message when viewing the cashier. That notice, which could be seen on skins such as Minted Poker, stated that the site would no longer allow action or new registrations from players that reside in the United States, France or Malta.

A PokerVipPrograms.com rep from Minted Poker has confirmed that Everleaf will indeed be leaving the U.S. market in a matter of days. The move appears to be related to a recent payment processing seizure by U.S. authorities. After the seizures, which occurred approximately one month ago, Everleaf and the Lotteries and Gaming Authority in Malta agreed to cooperate and leave the U.S. market. Everleaf is currently in negotiations with U.S. authorities about the seized funds and how players will be refunded their money.

Despite leaving the United States, Everleaf appears to be business as usual in non-US countries. It is estimated that U.S. players make up only 20% of the total traffic on the network.
